The best video game franchise of the last 25 years


It 's amazing to think that many of us grew up with video game franchise that is still around and cranking out new games. I thought I'd take a few minutes to review some of the best series of games we have seen over the past 25 years since the birth of Nintendo. These games can extend across multiple platforms, they can be specific to only one.

How could this start a conversation without mentioning the series of Mario games from Nintendo introduced at the time of its release? What started as Super Mario Brothers has blossomed into a mega feeling, almost as big as Mickey Mouse is back in years of cartoons. Between Mario Kart, Smash series, and many others, it is clear that the scope of this concept has expanded beyond anyone's imagination.

In sports, no series has been more successful than that of John Madden football. What started as a simple game from EA Sports in 1992 became an annual celebration for football fans around the world. Surprisingly, this game continues to improve with each new version and the sports world simply could not imagine that a year has passed without a new release Madden.

In the realm of adventure, the Grand Theft Auto series has definitely left its mark. With a handful of releases that we were fighting crime in a number of different cities (and, occasionally, get into some 'bad ourselves), the franchise has captured the imagination of millions of players around the world. ......
